Chanel - Brand Management
This is a great red suit. Every woman needs a suit that says I am confident in what I am doing. The price point is a little higher then some because of the fabric. The suit is a pure wool blend and has great black detailing. The target market for this particular consumer is probably a middle aged to older women. Most of these women will be part of the working class who want to look nice at work on a daily bases. The thing is with this suit it is also a great holiday piece.

Runway Mixup Balenciaga for Air Tahiti Nui
By JEFFRIES BLACKERBY
Photo courtesy of Air Tahiti Nui True or false?: Balenciaga’s Nicolas Ghesquière designed these uniforms for Air Tahiti Nui. (Answer below.)
Like the good people at Luxist, we too got the press release announcing that Air Tahiti Nui had hired the “fashion powerhouse” Balenciaga to design new staff uniforms to celebrate its 10th anniversary. But, um, would you please just look at them? It’s not that they’re bad, as far as airline uniforms go. In fact, they’re perfectly nice. But they’re not this. Or this. (But can you imagine if they were!) In fact, according to a publicist for the airline, that jazzy ruffled cuff and collar was designed by Balenciaga Uniforms, a licensing outfit that has no relation to Nicolas Ghesquière and Co. (The license apparently ends this year.) So happy birthday, Air Tahiti, and let’s all not get so excited.

Balenciaga Women's Collection Fall Winter 2009 2010
American actress Jennifer Connelly was chosen to be the face of Balenciaga for the second time. Her last Balenciaga project was for the Spring Summer 2008 collection. The Ad campaign, photographed by Steven Meisel, feels luxurious with its rich colors, fabrics, furniture, and obviously, the clothing.1918 saw the founding of Cristobal Balenciaga's first haute couture house in San Sébastian, Spain. Local admiration for his designs was so strong that a second haute couture house was opened in Madrid and a third in Barcelona. In 1937, 10, Avenue George V became the Parisian home of Cristobal Balenciaga's creative influence.Balenciaga soon came to embody Parisian elegance. Cristobal Balenciaga was hailed as The Couturier of Couturiers and The Master of us all by Christian Dior. In 1968, Balenciaga closed his couture house, to the deep dismay of his favourite clients. Countess Mona Bismarck lamented the event by locking herself indoors for three days.Cristobal Balenciaga died in his home country of Spain in 1972. His nephews then took the helm of the business. In 1978, control of the House of Balenciaga, including the important fragrance business, passed to Hoechst and then to Groupe Jacques Bogart in 1986.In 1995, Nicolas Ghesquière was hired by the House, initially as a designer for the licensed products activity. He became creative director for the House's own ready-to-wear and accessories collection in 1997.In 2001, Gucci Group, in partnership with Nicolas Ghesquière as creative director, acquired the House of Balenciaga, now well on its way towards recreating the influence and respect that the house commanded in its former heydays.

Ok, I have to say this is CRAZY!!! Chanel at costco who would have thought ?? I mean its kind of a good idea but at the same time that would be like Chanel at walmart!!
New York City is all a-Twitter about the opening of its first Costco Warehouse Shopping Club on East 116th Street. But aside from mayo large enough to dress every sandwich in Manhattan, there's another (and more important) reason to flock to Costco -- Chanel and Louis Vuitton handbags! The new location currently has Chanel Classic Flap handbags available for $1,999, though the salesperson, a man, was not sure what sizes were available (baby, small, medium, large or jumbo). These regularly sell anywhere from $1,795 to $2.495. However, he did say that earlier today they sold out of Louis Vuitton Speedy bags, regularly priced from $665 to more than $3,000, all three going for $589 a pop. But there are currently "a lot" of Burberry and Coach bags, he said. So, what else is in stock? Burberry's mini satchel for $1,019.99, Tod's medium shopper handbag for $549.99 and a Ferragamo "Marissa" handbag for $629.99.Just getting access to these deals make the $50 membership fee seem like chump change.Reps from Chanel and Louis Vuitton did not return calls for comment.

CHANEL
During the 1920s the house of Chanel had expanded considerable and the couture pieces keep coming. Many of the garments that Chanel designed had some what of a boyish figure and everything was somewhat casual in comparison to the rest of the fashions of the 20s. During the early 20s is also when Chanel made her fragrance Chanel No. 5 and this fragrance is still as popular today as it was in the 20s.
The classic Chanel jacket and the layers of pearls are among some of the major influences she had on fashion. Chanel created timeless and classic pieces that everyone wanted. Even to this day there are still these staple pieces that everyone wants in there wardrobe.
Chanel took a small break during the Nazi era and then in 1954 returned to the fashion world. Chanel continued her legacy and died of a heart attack in 1971. Karl Lagerfeld joined the house of Chanel during the 1980s and continues to be the creative designer for them.
BALENCIAGA
These colorful bags were so popular that there was a waiting list just to get one. They are one of Balenciaga's staple pieces to every outfit.
Cristobal Balenciaga changed the way women looked at a fashionable silhouette during the twentieth century. He created garments that were very graceful and that were very feminine. Balenciaga was born in Spain in January of 1895. While growing up he would watch his mother who was seamstress. While he was growing up one of his clients sent him to Madrid to get formal training in tailoring. He opened his first branch of boutique in Eisa which is located in Madrid. Later on be began opening them in Barcelona and San Sebastia'n. After the Spanish Civil War Balenciaga decided to move to Paris and open a store there that would soon open new doors with many new opportunities. In August of 1937 he did his first runway show at his Avenue Gorge V atelier. Many of his earlier creations showed a lot of Spanish influence. In 1957 he started playing around with his designs and discovered the world of high-waisted baby doll dress and draped coats as well as the balloon skirt. Many of the these fashions still exists and are still used as inspiration for many designers today.
